“The British artist Mr. Pippin (born 1960) has constantly played with the camera, transforming bathtubs, toilets or washbasins into camera obscura, constructing onanistic cameras, or arranging the image taken by a camera at the moment when a bullet from a pistol bursts it into pieces. Beyond the incongruous and humorous aspect, he conducts research on the limits of photography and the aberrations obtained when these limits are crossed.
