Erinnerungsspur – Statische Vibration, Dieter Appelt

Appelt took his first photographs in 1976 during a stay on the island of Monte Isola in northern Italy, in which he focused on his own body. To do so, he coated limbs and head with plaster and clay and wrapped them in gauze.

In this work, the artist stages himself in a morbid fusion with nature. Extremely important book in the selection of the curators.
