Le voyage mexicain - Jungle, Bernard Plossu

Bernard Plossu's legendary 1979 book Le voyage mexicain is finally being reissued in its original version, together with Jungle, a previously unpublished book of color photographs he took at the same time during an expedition to the jungles of Mexico's Chiapas region. The resulting set reveals how a young man of barely twenty, a fan of both auteur and mainstream cinema, spontaneously established his own personal aesthetic in his early days as a photographer, without knowing anything about the major photographers of his day. And at the same time, whether on the road through the poetic approach of Le Voyage mexicain or the narrative approach of Jungle, we sense that everything is already in place: the awareness of his becoming an author and his conceptual approach through books conceived as works in their own right.

The two books, with an exclusive combined print run of 1,000 copies, are presented in dust jackets.
