Aïm Deülle Lüski and Horizontal Photography, Ariella Azoulay
"The Israeli artist and writer Lüski (b. 1951) practices pinhole photography in a very original way: his camerae obscurae, often designed as art objects and constructed by cabinetmakers, include several holes. Unexpectedly, the light-sensitive paper is not perpendicular to the light, but horizontal, and the images from the multiple holes meet and combine, creating a complex and disoriented montage. This book, by theorist Ariella Aïsha Azoulay (born 1962 in Israel, exiled in the United States), analyses the conceptual and political dimension of this singular work", according to Marc Lenot.
