Miroslav Tichý : Les formes du vrai / Forms of truth, Gianfranco Sanguinetti
"The Czech photographer Miroslav Tichý (1926-2011) built his own cameras and obsessively photographed the women of his small town, in the street or at the pool. An unclassifiable marginalist, he was recuperated at the end of his life and often presented according to a very reductive and formatted scheme (exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in 2009). Gianfranco Sanguinetti, an Italian situationist writer and collector (born in 1948), knew Tichý well: here he writes a wonderful poem to his glory, bringing out the rebellious and sensual dimension of the character and his photographs (with numerous reproductions) better than anyone. This is, by far, the best book on Tichý", says Marc Lenot.
