Expired paper, Alison Rossiter

"The American Alison Rossiter (born 1953) does not "make" photographs: buying boxes of long-outdated photographic paper (the oldest in 1900), she reveals (in every sense of the word) the latent images buried in these papers. Simply processing them in her darkroom, she brings out shapes due to the infiltration of light, dust or humidity in the box, to the degradation of silver salts or to the carelessness of a previous operator. This beautiful book, with large fold-out reproductions, captures the magic of this work".
